Days 6-8

Saturday some of us went shopping while others stayed and baked cookies for the ladies meeting. Afterwards, we all went to different neighborhoods and invited women and kids to AWANA.   We also had the opportunity to attend service at Centro Familiar Cristiano, the Castillo's church.

Sunday, we helped with AWANA and the Women's day.

San Fransisco school (where we did VBS, AWANA, and Women's day).

School Caretakers

During our time of debrief we were given the opportunity to enjoy God's creation via a zip line. God is amazingly gracious to us!

Later that evening we had dinner with the Hondurans who helped us so much during our trip. It was a wonderful time of encouragement, prayer, and goodbyes.

Now we are waiting in Atlanta for our flight. Our flight leaves at 9:15. We should get to Grand Rapids around 11:30.

Thank you again for all your prayers! God was surely present and we are so thankful to be a part of what God is doing in Honduras. Even though we are leaving Honduras, the missionaries are still there. So, please continue to pray for the one egg a day program and the AWANA program. Many people committed to following Christ this trip including 4 women from the Women's Day. Pray that they would continue to grow in their faith and relationship with Christ.

Day 5

Friday was incredible!
A few of our team members went to get an early start on the building project while the rest stayed and got the women's day stuff together. They were worried that they were not going to finish the playground in time, but they did!

Picture of us and the rest of the Hondurans that helped. As a side note, the missionaries and their family group has been incredibly kind and welcoming to us. They have been such an amazing blessing! We could not do any of what we are doing without them.

Kids enjoying their new playground!

Face painting!

All the kids that came to the last day of VBS!

Thank you for your prayers. God is good and has been so gracious to us. Praise God that we finished the building project and VBS went incredible! We are thankful for friendships that are forming here and all the smiling faces of the Honduran kids. God is working!

After we finished our last day of VBS we saw an incredible sight.  Over the mountains was a beautiful rainbow. It hadn't been raining. It was just a gift from God to us.  It was there to encourage and remind us that God keeps his promises which was the theme of the VBS. He accomplished what He wanted through the VBS and we are grateful and thankful.

"I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him."

- Ecclesiastes 3:14

The Castillos invited us to their family group get together. It was so fun! We sang songs, played games, and ate together. One of the highlights was when we sang praise & worship.  They sang in Spanish, but some of the songs we knew in  English. So we were singing together as one in two different languages to the only God who is worthy of all our praises! It was beautiful. Prayer Requests: - AWANA Sunday morning. Please pray many new kids would come.- During AWANA they have a teaching for the women as well as a craft. Keri and Kathy are doing the teaching. Pray also that new women would come. - Pray for our time of debrief.
