A Day Full of Adventure!

"Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them. Glorious and majestic are His deeds, and his righteousness endures forever."
Psalm 111:2-3

Today has been an incredible day of seeing God's hand upon us and enjoying his beautiful creation. We have had a packed day of one excitement after another.

We almost missed our flight from Atlanta to Honduras because of a slow Starbucks!
Then, when going through customs in Honduras, the lights went off twice! As we walked out of the airport, there were many Hondurans gathered staring at us like we were celebrities. It was crazy!

Once we made it outside with all our luggage, the Castillo's picked us up in what they thought would be a big enough van for our luggage, but we ended up having to put a lot on top.

After driving for two hours towards Siguatepeque, we felt rumbling and realized that our tire was completely punctured. We all exited the car and waited on the side of the highway for a long time. As only God can, the place that we were when our tire became flat was the best place we could possibly be. This is because there was a mechanic within yards of our car. He had a car jack and found a tire for us. During this time, we had a time of prayer before continuing our journey.

One example of the many fruit stands along the way!

Just as we pulled into the seminary (where we are staying) the sky looked dark. We got all our luggage onto the front porch of one of the "dorms" and it started pouring. It rains very powerful here. It is a beautiful, powerful sound. Especially since the roofs are metal.

Getting crafts ready for the first day of VBS tomorrow.

Dinner at the seminary.

Please pray specifically for:
- Our day tomorrow as we are starting to build a play set as well as our first day of VBS.
- We are all very tired from travel. Pray for rest and that we would find our strength in the Lord.
- That God would be with those delivering hard boiled eggs to 3 schools and sharing the Love of Jesus while the children eat them. It is a very cool ministry.
- Continued health and safety.
- That the rain will hold off. (The forecast says it is suppose to rain everyday this week.)
- Unity as a group

  3. So excited for you all and those lucky Hondurans. Remember that everything that needs to happen will happen, regardless of the world around you. Praising and praying here at home for sure.
