Once again, we have been able to see God’s hand at work. We
were concerned that the sand we had leveled out might have been washed away by
the rain. But thankfully, it was not and we were able to get a good start on
building the play ground. While some helped with this, others played with the
kids. It gives you so much joy to see their smiling faces and watch them have a
good time.
Tuesday Brianna and Vicki went to the different schools,
passed out the eggs, and taught a bible story. Wednesday, Cary and Joslyn were
able to do this. It went very well!
The VBS went so incredibly smooth. Due to the rain the first
day and the kids not being able to get home on time, we were worried that they
wouldn’t be able to come back. And while we did have fewer, we still had around
200 kids. God is good!
We were also told that one of the kids ran home in the rain
and warned a lot of the kid’s parents that they were going to be home late.
This was an answer to prayer because the parents understood why their kids were
late and did not take it out on them.
Another highlight of the day was in the evening, right after
dinner. Andy Castillo told his testimony as to how he got into ministry. It is
such a beautiful story of God’s love, power, and kindness. Andy quoted
Ephesians 2:1-5 explaining how its all because of God.
Praise God:
For his beautiful creation.
That the building project is underway.
